Been a while

It's been a while since I've posted on here. I'm really excited to get some researching going with Haseeb. The guy has such an excellent grasp of the elements involved in a project. I'm hoping we can get an excellent idea running that will make a difference in southern Illinois.

Now, back to challenger.

Coming soon is a "my favorite iPhone apps" post.

Back to the Grindstone

Vacation was absolutely marvelous. I had a wonderful time with my kids. I do, however, fear the paperwork that I have to complete upon return to clinc. I already logged into the hospital EMR once this week to sign records, and I had over 75 to sign. I am not looking forward to tomorrow.

You should gonto Branson sometime. It was loads of fun.

My wife got this idea from this lady to build furniture using 2x4 studs. She had all the plans prepared and everything. It really wasn't all that hard to do, and it looks pretty good.

I have concerns about the longevity of using such a soft wood as well as the fundamental plans or allowing expansion and contraction of the wood (more concerning is the expansion). I anticipate hearing a large "crack" and coming to find one of the legs of the table split in half.

I'll have to post pictures. The next project are benches for the table, then she wants me to build a bed. Maybe, just maybe, I might actually en up with my shop in the end afterall.

The Sunday Before The End

I have today off, and I only have 1 more week of day service left as an intern. I'm so excited about this.

I'm done with the 4AM mornings after next week. It is a very nice feeling.
